Zambian Network is a platform for Zambian businesses and professionals to build, network and share with one another. Our registered users share their business and/or professional profiles and engage in our discussions.

By using our Platform you agree with the terms laid out in our User Agreement.

Changes & Modifications: We may modify this Privacy Policy, and notify you via email to give you the chance to review the changes before they become effective. If you object to any changes, you may close your account. You consent to the updates by continuing to use our Platform after the changes are published.

Things you do and information you provide.
We collect the content and other information that you provide when you use Our Platform, including when you add a profile, create or share, and message or communicate with others. This can include information in or about the content that you provide, such as your email address.

When you add a profile we ask for the following information:
* Username/Name (this is public, you choose what you share)
* Email Address (this is private unless you provided one for public use)
* About you and/or your company (the information you provide is public, you choose what you share)
* Contact Number (this is optional and made public if you provide it)
* Sector (this is public, you choose what you share)
* Location (City and Country is public, you choose what you share)
* Social Media Networks (this is optional and made public if you provide it)
* Photos (this is public, you choose what you share)

Data from others
Our website uses ‘cookies’. A ‘cookie’ is a small file of letters and numbers that we put on your computer when you visit our website.

Our analytical cookies are anonymous and do not store information about your online usage or link to you as an identifiable individual. We do not link these statistics to any information that you may have provided whilst using the site. We use third-party providers- Google Analytics and Youtube, to provide certain features on our website.

How Your Data Is Used

For Our Platform
The data we collect when you register/add a profile is used to set up your profile. We aim to grow our network and use your information to connect you with like-minded Zambians within your area or related field. We do not share your data with any third-parties. All information that you have chosen to share publicly on your profile is visible to the public. Public information is available to anyone on or off our Platform and can be seen or accessed by anyone, anywhere.

For Communication With You
The purpose of building Zambian Network was to support and connect professional Zambians and the data you share on our Platform contributes to this. As our Network, and resources grow we will have weekly and monthly newsletters as well as other forms of communication.

We collect information about you when you send a query, feedback on our website forms and use it to respond to queries and complaints.

For Cookies
We use the information from Google Analytics to compile reports and to help us improve our Platform. The cookies collect information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors to the site, where visitors have come to the site from and the pages they visited.

How Is Your Data Shared

We do not personally share your data but any data that you include on your profile and any content you post on our Platform will be seen by others.

Messages you send directly to a profile are private between you and the person you are sending a message to.

Your Data Rights & Choices

You can edit or delete your personal data at any time. You have many choices about how your data is collected, used and shared. Send us an email: accounts@zambiannetwork.com to edit or delete any or all of your data.

You can-
Delete Data: You can ask us to delete all or some of your personal data.

Change or Correct Data: You can edit some of your personal data by logging into your profile. You can also ask us to change, update or fix your data in certain cases, particularly if it’s inaccurate.

Limit or Restrict, Use of Data: You can ask us to stop using all or some of your personal data

You also have the right to access your data. You can ask us for a copy of your personal data and can ask for a copy of personal data you provided.

Security

Our Platform is monitored daily for the prevention of security breaches, vulnerabilities, and attacks, however, we cannot guarantee that your data will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by a technical breach. In the event of such a breach you will receive an email notification.

We implement security safeguards such as HTTPS designed to protect your data.

We currently do not share personal data with third parties for any purposes without your permission.
